This is a delicious pineapple drink. Although there is not much to it, you and your family will love the taste and it will leave all of them coming back for more! Refreshing and not too sweet just plenty yummy…

You will need:

  • A ripe pineapple
  • A measuring cup
  • A blender
  • Ice
  • Water
  • A pitcher or  container of choice to refrigerate your beverage in.

After removing the peel from the pineapple, lay it on it’s side and cut it into round slices. Cut the round slices into halves and the halves into quarters. IMG 3455 300x200 Pineappleish

  • 41/2 – 5  cups of pineapple
  • 6 cups of water (if blending with ice substitute equal of amounts water with ice as desired)

You will need the pineapple, cold water and/or ice in the blender  (you may cut the portions in half and do two batches if your blender is too small). After this is all well blended, you may want to taste your drink to test the sweetness and acidity level. This is the time to add your sweetener and blend well again before bringing it to your pitcher to refrigerate. Stir well before serving and serve over ice!

NOT FOR KIDS: Taste grate with Malibu Rum. You know, pineapple and coconutsmiley wink Pineappleish

Remember, this is not juice and is not meant to taste as sweet as store bought drinks. The most sugar I have had to put in to one of these pineapple beverages was 5 tablespoons for 2 LITERS, much better when compared to 620 teaspoons in a 2 liter bottle of coke!

We like to add tiny chunks of pineapple for added texture after it comes out of the blender. Fun!

[...] of spinach focaccia bread; and to drink? I had already prepared some of my fresh pineapple water, ‘Pineappleish’ and blended it with fresh strawberries. Everything was enjoyed and as always there is NO pineapple [...]

That looks interesting and yummy. My girls love pineapple. I have to admit I have never cut one before so thanks for the pictures. I think I can handle that. I’m going to try it. :)

Your welcome! It really seems much harder than it really is… Hope your girls enjoy it.
