Last week I posted about the gifts my boys wanted to make their dad for father’s day and posted a picture of Big Brother’s craft but not Little One’s. Well, we went back to Michael’s and purchased that MUG for him. He chose black over white and he decorated it. He decorated each side of the mug in different themes and it turned out great! Little One was quite pleased with him self and can’t wait till Sunday… As promised, here are some pictures.

GO - Spend Time on Dad
Father’s day is this WEEKEND
and some of us, with our busy schedules and kids out of school or almost out of school, may still be looking for that special something to get for dad. Let us not forget there are also many things out there we can do WITH dad on that special day. There is still plenty of time to do something awesome for dad or with dad. No one knows ‘dad’ better than you. so when planning his day keep him in mind. Don’t try to take him along on a hike if he simply hates the outdoors and wishes the remote could fetch him a snack from the fridge so he wouldn’t have to do it himself. There are many activities, outdoor or indoor, planned and put together by you (what fun), or planed by someone else for you to simply plan for and enjoy with Mr. Fix It, Cool Dude, Man of The House, #1 Dad…
Here are some ‘Too Cool’, get you out of the house things to do WITH dad on his day that are sure to leave that tie from last year in the dust.
L.A. 46th Roadster Show & Swap If your dad likes roadsters and specialty cars, this is a great place! They showcase more than 800 roadsters, 1,500 specialty cars and there’s a HUGE trade show stockpiled with hot rod parts, accessories and cool stuff to see! 7 a.m. – 4 p.m. June 19 and 20 @ the Los Angeles Fairplex in Pomona. $17 adults, children 12 and under: free admission. http://www.laroadsters.com

Big Brothers gift- from Michael's, hand painted by him. 'Bobblehead'
Little One wants to buy this HUGE mug he saw at Michael’s, while we were shopping for supplies needed for Older Brother’s project. He wants to decorate it with scrapbook stickers in father’s day themes and such… He has had these tool laminate-like stickers for a while – says ‘they are perfect’ – and while daddy is quite handy, he hasn’t picked up too many tools around here in a WHILE. He’s more the suit and tie type and too busy to do much else. Where Little One is concerned, daddy is ‘One Cool Dude’ and I guess with the exception of a few minor flaws (hey
), I will have to concur. So far he is still stuck on that mug – so I’m thinking MUG it is… We will just pick out an array of Little One approved ‘stuffs’ to go on said MUG and see what we get. After all it is their gift!
…Oh, I will be posting pics. on an ‘update’ later in the week!
What are some ideas you or your little ones have for the special day?
To ‘catch the rainbow’ in a cup it is really quite simple. You will need the following:

We have a sweet 'cloud' of Cool Whip at the end of the rainbow
- 6 boxes of Jello gelatin (or preferred brand) in the following colors
* Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple
- Yes there are 7 colors in the spectrum, ROY G BIV, but I have yet to find a good ‘Indigo’ in a Jello.I have mixed purple with other colors and gotten close. Just think it looks great without it and the purple and blue blend well into each other. Besides It never lasts long enough for any body to notice!
